Axiotronic is one of the many musical projects of Philadelphia native MichaelSpinka. During his college years, he majored in communications and music, focusing on MIDI programming and electronic musical composition. Axiotronic’s signature sound includes sharp saw’s, smooth sines, and deep basses, mixed with old school style drum programming, a-la 606/808′s. Live vibraphone usually accompanies these melodies to bring even mix of an electrically hot vibe, cooled gently by the smooth ride of soft mallets. These sounds are packed into upbeat synthpop rhythms and some say there is reminiscence of 8-bit chip sounds, amongst the ambiance. Axiotronic self describes his project as “music for dreaming robots”.
